The early years
Raised and immersed in the world of construction, Liam’s house was a perpetual building site. Growing up, Liam always watched his dad – who is also a Sydney builder – working around the home and working onsite.
Liam’s progression towards a career as a new home builder became a natural one, at which he began his apprenticeship as a carpenter in 1999.
The Worthington Homes journey begins
After becoming a qualified builder and working in the residential building industry in Sydney for quite some time, Liam noticed one thing that really bothered him: he saw a lot of builders doing a really average job.
Major Sydney builders were getting a lot of work but leaving a lot of people unhappy. Watching clients being deceived by slick salesman, treated like ‘another number’ and then ignored when problems arose while building their dream home, Liam decided to start a company that would be different.
Happy clients are the aim of the game
Knowing that happy clients is the ultimate goal in home building and a personal touch goes a long way, Liam started Worthington Homes.
Confident he could build quality houses, deliver excellent service and maintain integrity throughout the building process, Liam started his own building company where he could leave customers feeling happy.
Worthington Homes became a company that strived for high quality workmanship, honest and open communication with the client as well as clean and safe construction sites.
John joins Worthington Homes as a consultant
Taking on larger building projects, Liam engaged his father John Worthington as a senior advisor to Worthington Homes. Well-known throughout the Australian construction industry, John has more than 50 years’ experience in both commercial and residential building.
John serves on the Council of Management for the NSW Master Builders Association and is a Member of the Ministerial Advisory Panel to the Minister for Fair Trading. With John’s extensive knowledge of construction, regulation, litigation and safety, he helps Liam oversee the entire process of building a brand new home.
From there, the Worthington Homes team continues to grow.
Building for owner-occupiers, investors and property developers
As Liam builds great rapport with his clients, more referral work comes to Worthington Homes and the company continues to grow. In addition to his ‘dream home’ owner-occupier clients, Liam starts working with prominent investors and developers throughout greater Sydney.
Successfully building beautiful new homes in Baulkham Hills, Schofields, North Rocks and Kellyville, Worthington Homes takes on larger scale developments such as Akuna Vista Schofields, Paramount Box Hill and Wilton Greens.
