Worthington Homes have been nominated as a finalist in the 2021 Master Builders Association Excellence in Housing Awards.

Our ‘Townhomes on Lavender’ project, consisting of 18 Torrens Title townhomes, each with a unique floor plan and façade design, was one of 30 entries and three finalists in the townhouse/villa category.

Previously, Worthington Homes were selected as a 2020 Excellence in Housing Awards finalist in the dual occupancy category for a duplex project in Schofields.

The MBA’s award programs represent the promotion of excellence in construction, workmanship, innovation as well as dedication to the industry. As one of the industry’s most well known award programs, participation is highly contested for residential builders.

Managing Director Liam Worthington says, “We’re thrilled to be one of three finalists for the Master Builders Association Excellence in Housing Awards. I’m particularly proud of our townhouse development as it wasn’t a cookie-cutter design. We ensured individuality to enable the homeowner to feel as though, ‘this is my home and this is my one, it’s not the same as next door.’”

‘Townhomes on Lavender’, consisting of 18 Torrens Title townhomes, was one of 30 entries and three finalists in the townhouse/villa category for the MBA Excellence in Housing Awards.

Key to the successful delivery of the project was designing several floor plans that would suit a narrow lot. With a total of 18 townhomes to be constructed, the internal design of each house needed to be spacious.

Most buyers are looking for a home that is low maintenance without compromising on internal space. Designed with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a double car garage, residents would also enjoy a long list of modern inclusions.

Caesarstone benchtops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, contemporary bathrooms with freestanding baths and semi-frameless shower screens, plus smart technology to manage heating, cooling and security. Not to mention, solar rooftop panels to help reduce energy consumption.

Being a medium-density development, it was also important that the façade would complement nicely against apartment blocks and homes in the area. On a quiet cul-de-sac in Kellyville, you can see a striking streetscape of distinct architecturally-designed homes with warm timber tones and bold render finishes.

Each townhouse was sold off-the-plan prior to the end of construction, attracting mostly owner-occupiers and a handful of investors. Built with the highest standard of workmanship, ‘Townhomes on Lavender’ appealed greatly for buyers wanting a boutique home that was ready to move in.
